Hi just joined the tribe and thought I would say hi.
Was recently ill and my friend gave me his copy of Microsoft Flight Sim 2004 and I have been playing it ever since! Anyone else hopelessly trying to land a 747 at Gatwick? (I say hopeless, but I do always land just next to the runway!)

Re: Anyone there?
Sun, March 11, 2007 - 12:11 PMWell I am still here, although almost no one else shows up much any more. I fly mostly combat sim's. So few of the tribes have any action ever sinecs they did that bad change a few years ago. Yes, they fixed things, but a little to late with My Space around now. -

Re: Anyone there?
Sun, March 11, 2007 - 1:33 PMAh, never tried combat sims, I can just about managed ordinary flying never mind someone shooting at me!
I'd actually never heard of Tribe until a couple of days ago, I did try myspace but it's all a bit too much hard work for me! -

Re: Anyone there?
Tue, July 3, 2007 - 7:13 PMI thought the 747 handled pretty well. In X-planes I like to start at 40k feet, at night, with a bad storm below me. Then all I gotta do it find an airport to land at.
The 747 is such a brute that it muscles its way through all but the worst weather.

Re: Anyone there?
Sat, April 5, 2008 - 11:52 AMSame question but one year later on.........
Prefer the Ubisoft flight sims but that's purely preference. Done enough landing at Gatwick as a passenger to not want to try it as a virtual pilot...! -

Re: Anyone there?
Mon, April 7, 2008 - 4:37 PMfor actual simulation I play either X-planes 8.64 or FSX. For dogfighting I fly Pacific fighters, sturmovich, or Wings over Vietnam,
My gaming platform is a full size, sit-down flight simulator with a 60x40 " screen, force feedback seat, Saitex X52 controller+throttle, MS steering wheel & pedals, and a kenwood sound system powered by a duo core processor and a 512mb PCIe video card. I can land about anything.
